The Jezebel fiasco…
What the hell happened… The short story; I had a nervous breakdown. Jezebel launched on a Friday and by Saturday- I was anxiety ridden to the point that I wasn’t eating, sleeping, or functioning. The State of The Industry
SIGH. Today I was full of self-doubt. I had a day that just made me question if there was a secret formula in this industry to being seen, to gaining exposure, to people finding my books and giving them a chance. I was feeling pretty negative about it all. I even chatted with a friend saying maybe it was time for a break from social media and marketing to just go back to writing– for no other reason than because it is what inspires me. I feel like it’s been forever since I just sat down and wrote something. I’ve been crazy busy trying to adjust to a new full time position that has left me very little time and/or motivation to sit and focus and write.
